Wave Collection

The Wave collection explores the overlapping domain of the continuity principles inherent to the virtual with the effects added by the object physical materialization process. Thus, by combining mathematical functions that simulate the continuous movement through twists and translations, forms with a strong dynamic character are obtained. The resulting texture is a witness to the process by which the instance is created. The obtained objects have variable deformed sinuous layers that give identity to each piece, as a generating element.
The pieces in this collection are materialized as instances of never-ending fluid movement. The layers resulted from the fabrication process remain visible adding a fine texture to the jewellery and contribute to the design intent: to search for the sensible effect of digital tools. The shape, material and method of materialization bear the fingerprint of the digital environment; thus, the filiform and porous jewellery pieces are generated using computation and made by 3D printing in ABS plastic.
